The A Series of Unfortunate Events tv series is set to premiere on Netflix on January 13th. The series is based on the book series of the same name by Lemony Snicket. The series follows the lives of the three Baudelaire children, Violet, Klaus, and Sunny, who are orphaned after a fire destroys their home and are sent to live with their distant relative, Count Olaf. Neil Patrick Harris as Count Olaf
Unlike some of the other actors on this list, Neil Patrick Harris doesn’t have to worry about too much of a physical transformation to play Count Olaf. However, he does have to convey the character’s signature unibrow, which can be achieved with some simple makeup.

Malina Weissman as Violet Baudelaire
Malina Weissman stars as Violet Baudelaire, the eldest Baudelaire orphan. violet is an inventor like her father, and is often coming up with gadgets to help her and her siblings out of tough situations. Violet is also a bit of a worrywart, and is always trying to keep her brother and sister safe.
Louis Hynes as Klaus Baudelaire
Louis Hynes, who is perhaps best known for his role in Netflix’s historical drama “Outlander”, has taken on the role of the middle Baudelaire child, Klaus. Klaus is an avid reader who often uses his knowledge to save his siblings from peril. Hynes captures the character’s intelligence and resourcefulness perfectly, making him a standout in the cast.
Presley Smith as Sunny Baudelaire
The youngest Baudelaire orphan, Sunny, is played by three-year-old Presley Smith. Sunny is an infant prodigy who uses her sharp teeth to help her siblings out of difficult situations. She also has a unique way of communicating through a series of growls, which only her siblings can understand.
