The NBA All-Star game is coming up on February 17th. The event will be televised by ESPN, but the problem is that it’s being held in Charlotte, North Carolina which has a law prohibiting discrimination against LGBT people. This led to a petition for the league to move the game elsewhere.

The FIFA World Cup
The FIFA World Cup is an international football tournament that takes place every four years. It is the most watched sporting event in the world, with over 3.5 billion people tuning in to watch the 2014 tournament. The 2018 World Cup will be held in Russia from June 14th to July 15th.
The tournament is contested by 32 teams, all of which have qualified by winning their respective continental championships or by finishing in the top two of their group in the qualifying rounds. The teams are divided into eight groups of four, with each team playing three matches against other teams in their group. The top two teams from each group advance to the knockout stage, where they compete in a single-elimination tournament until only one team remains.
Past winners of the FIFA World Cup include Brazil (5 times), Italy (4 times), Germany (4 times), and Argentina (2 times).

The Stanley Cup is the most prestigious trophy in all of professional hockey. It is awarded to the team that wins the National Hockey League’s championship playoff series. The Stanley Cup has been around for more than a century, and it is one of the most recognizable trophies in all of sports.
The Stanley Cup was first presented in 1892, and it was originally known as the Dominion Hockey Challenge Cup. It was donated by Governor General of Canada Lord Stanley of Preston. The Stanley Cup was originally intended to be a challenge trophy, meaning that any team could challenge the reigning champions to a playoff series in order to win the cup.
Over time, the Stanley Cup became the symbol of excellence in professional hockey. It has been awarded to the NHL champion every year since 1926, with a few exceptions during World War II. The cup has also become a coveted prize for teams outside of the NHL; several minor league and junior teams have won championships that include the words “Stanley Cup” in their title.

The Kentucky Derby
The Kentucky Derby is a horse race that is held annually in Louisville, Kentucky, United States. The Derby is the first leg of the American Triple Crown and is followed by the Preakness Stakes and the Belmont Stakes. The field of horses varies each year but typically includes around 20 runners.
The race is run on a dirt track oval that measures one and a quarter miles (2 km). The Derby is known as “The Run for the Roses” because a blanket of roses is draped over the winner. It is also sometimes referred to as “The Most Exciting Two Minutes In Sports” or “The Greatest Two Minutes In Sports” because of its relatively short duration.
Betting on the Kentucky Derby has been legal since 1902. A wide variety of bets can be made, including betting on which horse will win, which jockey will finish in first place, and whether or not there will be a Triple Crown winner (a horse winning all three races).
The Kentucky Derby attracts large crowds every year and is televised live on NBC. It also has its own dedicated website and mobile app where people can watch live updates and results.
