Violet Baudelaire
Violet Baudelaire is the eldest child of the three Baudelaire orphans. She is an extremely intelligent young girl and is always able to think up impressive inventions on the spot. Violet is also very resourceful, always able to find a way out of any situation.
Early life
Violet Baudelaire was born on February 14, 1891, to Bertrand and Beatrice Baudelaire. She was the eldest of the three Baudelaire orphans. As an infant, Violet was very attached to a blankie that she continued to carry around with her well into her teenage years. When she was three years old, her parents took her to see a travelling circus where she first met Klaus and Sunny Baudelaire. The three children were immediately drawn to one another and remained close friends for the rest of their lives.
Violet’s parents died in a fire when she was fourteen years old, and she became the legal guardian of her younger siblings, Sunny and Klaus. Violet took on the responsibility of caring for her brother and sister, and vowed to always keep them safe.
Violet is an inventor by nature, and is always coming up with new gadgets to help her in difficult situations. Her twin passions in life are inventing and reading, which often come in handy when the children find themselves in precarious situations.

Violet Baudelaire is the eldest of the three protagonists in Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events. She is portrayed by Malina Weissman in the Netflix adaptation.
Violet is an intelligent and resourceful thirteen-year-old, inventor, and former student of Bertrand Baudelaire. As the eldest Baudelaire child, Violet takes on a maternal role towards her younger brother Klaus and sister Sunny. After the death of their parents in a fire, the Baudelaire children are sent to live with their distant relative Count Olaf, who attempts to steal their inheritance and kills anyone who gets in his way. Violet is always quick to come up with a plan to get her and her siblings out of Olaf’s clutches and take down his schemes.

The Spiderwick Chronicles
The Spiderwick Chronicles is a 2008 American fantasy adventure film directed by Mark Waters and based on the Spiderwick Chronicles series of books by Holly Black and Tony DiTerlizzi. It stars Freddie Highmore as both Jared Grace and Simon Grace, Sarah Bolger as Mallory Grace, Mary-Louise Parker as Helen Grace, Nick Nolte as Arthur Spiderwick, and Simon Baker as Mulgrath.
The film was distributed by Paramount Pictures and produced by Nickelodeon Movies and Sunsilk Films. The Spiderwick Chronicles was released in the United States on February 14, 2008.
In the film, Jared (Highmore) finds a field guide to faeries in his great-great-uncle’s (Nolte) attic which he uses to battle troublesome faeries living around their house including one (Baker) who is after a changeling baby that Mallory (Bolger) is taking care of.
The Fault in Our Stars
The Fault in Our Stars is a 2014 American romantic drama film directed by Josh Boone, based on the novel of the same name by John Green. The film stars Shailene Woodley, Ansel Elgort, and Nat Wolff, with Willem Dafoe playing a supporting role.
Woodley plays Hazel Grace Lancaster, a sixteen-year-old cancer patient who is forced by her parents to attend a cancer support group, where she meets and subsequently falls in love with Augustus Waters (Elgort), a seventeen-year-old ex-basketball player who is also a cancer survivor. Wolff plays Isaac, Augustus’s best friend. Photography began on August 26, 2013, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with much of the rest of the cast being announced over the next month.
The Fault in Our Stars was released in North America on June 6, 2014 to positive reviews from critics; it grossed $48 million on its opening weekend and went on to earn over $307 million worldwide.

Violet Baudelaire was the eldest child of the Baudelaire orphans. She was an inventor like her father and an avid reader. Violet was very close to her younger brother, Klaus, and often looked to him for guidance. While she was always mature for her age, Violet went through a lot of personal growth during her time with Count Olaf. Let’s take a closer look at Violet Baudelaire’s personal life.
Relationships
Violet Baudelaire had two significant relationships over the course of her life. The first was with a boy named Duncan, whom she met when she was just eleven years old. The two of them bonded over their shared love of inventing, and they built many contraptions together. Unfortunately, Duncan was moving away soon after they met, and the two parted ways.
The second relationship was with a man named Quigley Quagmire. Violet met Quigley when she was thirteen, and the two of them quickly fell in love. They became close friends with the other members of the secret society known as V.F.D., and they often worked together to help others. Sadly, Quigley was killed during the battle at Hotel Denouement, and Violet was left heartbroken.
